Looking Glass

summary

A self-portrait series inspired by Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass.

Looking Glass
This self-portrait series explores themes from one of my favorite books from childhood, Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass.

In every portrait, my face is hidden or cropped out: an eye peering through a tiny window, a pair of teapots, a hand reaching across a chessboard. Who am I, really? It's the question Alice keeps getting asked, and one I keep exploring in my own life. The ultra-saturated pink and acid green push everything a little past real, into Wonderland.

Three self-portraits in saturated pink and acid green: an eye peering through a tiny window, a pair of teapots, and a hand reaching across a chessboard

Self-portraits; art direction, styling, and set by me.

Let's Talk

I do my best work where strategy and craft have to meet: a clear idea, a team that cares, and details that hold up under a closer look.
